Safeguarding

The Careers Service at STCG offers a client-centred, confidential, impartial and accessible service, delivered by professionally qualified staff. Each college’s Careers Team provides a comprehensive service to help current and prospective students make decisions about their future training, education and work options. The services on offer include:

  • One to one confidential guidance interviews
  • Help with CVs, interviews and job searching
  • Apprenticeship advice
  • Help with UCAS and Personal Statements
  • Daily Drop-in sessions
  • Group sessions and workshops

We recognise that parents and carers play an influential role in supporting their child to make important decisions about their education and future career. Parents/Carers are welcome to contact the Careers Service and attend meetings if this is appropriate.

At Parents’ Evenings you may have the opportunity to discuss with Careers Advisers your child’s next steps.

Your child has access to Kudos an online tool which will give all the information you need to make informed decisions about future careers and what subjects, courses and training you can do to reach your career destination.

STCG’s Student Services are fully matrix accredited and this award is a recognition of an organisation’s high standards of information, advice and guidance delivery.
