Italian  Beginner

A lively course which aims to enable you to take part in conversations and to achieve a basic understanding of Italian so that you will be able to cope in everyday situations. This course is designed for adult beginners who want to start learning Italian from the ground up. You will gradually build the language skills needed to handle simple, everyday conversations. The focus will be on essential vocabulary and the key grammar structures that form the foundation of basic communication.

By the end of the course, you'll be able to understand and use familiar expressions, ask and answer simple questions, and begin developing the confidence to continue learning Italian.

The tutor: Andrea D'Alessandro is a native Italian speaker with a deep passion for sharing the beauty of the Italian language and culture. Bringing over 20 years of experience teaching Italian to adults, he has developed a dynamic and immersive approach to language learning, tailored to suit the needs of learners at all proficiency levels—from beginners to advanced. Beyond language instruction, Andrea's profound cultural knowledge offers students a window into the traditions, art, and culinary delights of Italy.     The course is based on chapters 1-2 3 and 4 of Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni - Italian version)

    You will learn: Ask and give personal information including profession, nationality Use numbers (0-100) Discuss interests and hobbies Order food and drink at a bar or restaurant Talk about what you do: work and studies Describe your daily routine Talk about your free time activities and express likes and dislikes Identify and name vocabulary related to food, price, weigh and measure units
