Developing Chinese Language Skills - Beginner
This Module 1 course is a great opportunity to start learning Chinese (Mandarin) and explore the Chinese culture. This 10-week course is for complete beginners in Chinese, and those who with some expressions informally. The course will mainly focus on speaking and listening, but also include some reading and writing in Chinese. There will be lots of opportunities for you to practise speaking and listening Chinese through the various class activities, eg. conversations and role-plays.
If you're self-employed, you might be able to deduct your enrolment fee from your taxable income.
If you are on a low wage, unemployed or claim Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) then you can enrol on the course for free.

Course Content
You will learn:Introduction to Chinese: Pinyin, tones and characters
Ask and give personal information including profession, nationality
Use numbers (0-100)
Discuss interests and hobbies
Order food and drink at a bar or restaurant
Talk about what you do: work and studies
Describe your daily routine
Talk about your free time activities and express likes and dislikes
