Course Content
Over 10 sessions in the Autumn term we will be looking at the theme of Changing London. Each week we will visit an area of London that has changed dramatically in the past 25 years. These will include Kings Cross, Barking Riverside, Battersea Power Station, Croydon, Canary Wharf and Imperial Wharf. We will look at old photographs and try to locate where they were taken and what has changed. Each walk lasts just under two hours and we walk between 2-3 miles, so the pace is very relaxed. As well as discussion about the history, the walks are very social, and there is chance for friendly conversation along the way. Walks start and end near a London Underground Station or a convenient bus stop. -
