Pilates For Improvers

This course is ideal for individuals with some prior Pilates experience. It is suitable for all fitness levels, as it offers a gentle, low-impact form of exercise. Participants should be able to comfortably get on and off the floor for mat-based exercises.

    This course is not for beginners.

  • Course Content


    The classes will build on the fundamentals of Pilates with the opportunity to progress your Pilates practise and to deepen the work. Each class will start with a focused skills session and work towards any goals you may have. During the course you will be guided through exercises for strength, mobility and stability, focusing on posture and alignment. Each week will build on your previous experience and knowledge gained and include progressions to keep you challenged.

    By the end of the course you should be able to:

    • Identify how to work at a comfortable level for you

    *expand your knowledge of the Pilates classical repertoire

    *do basic stretching exercises

    • use posture and balance for everyday functional movements

  • Assessment Details


    The tutor will provide guidance and support throughout the course, offering feedback and corrections as needed. You will have opportunities to speak with the tutor individually, as well as to share ideas, ask questions, and find motivation within the group.

    While there is no set homework, you will get the most benefit from the course by practicing Pilates exercises regularly.

    Participants should be able to follow verbal instructions and observe and replicate physical movements.
