Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) (England)

Start date - May 2024

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace, such as lead adult care workers, lead personal assistants, care supervisors or community support workers to name a few. This qualification forms the competence requirements for those learners working in adult care settings at level 3.

Learners will have responsibility for providing person-centred, values-driven care and support for those accessing a service. The learner will work under the direction of a manager or supervisor but will have a degree of autonomy. As well as demonstrating best practice, they will be working towards promoting and modelling it. Learners may or may not have supervisory responsibilities for others.

Learners will most likely be working in the following settings:

residential or nursing homes domiciliary care day centres healthcare The content of the qualification covers core content that applies to the adult social care sector with a variety of optional units covering additional knowledge and skills applicable to learners in level 3 roles. Learners may also wish to select units in leadership and digital skills as part of this qualification.

    • Be legally allowed to work in the UK
    • Must be working in an Adult Health & Social Care Setting
    • Have lived in the UK for the last three years
    • Pass a short assessment for maths and English
    • Be 19 or older

    Recognised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and perfect for aspiring and existing professionals in health and social care. Course content covers 15 mandatory units plus optional units that incorporates most elements from the Care Certificate including:

    • Promoting Infection Prevention and Control in Care Settings

    Individuals achieving this qualification can use what they have learned to progress further with the following qualifications:

  • Course Structure

    Delivery 1 year You will studying from 2pm to 5pm Day - Monday You will be required to undergo direct observation in a suitable health and social care setting Blend of on-line and classroom learning
