L3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Heat Pumps Systems
This course is for people who wish to become competent in the installation and maintenance of heat pumps systems (non-refrigerant circuits). The course covers both the theoretical and practical elements of installing and commissioning heat pumps systems as well as how to inspect, service and maintain these systems.

Entry Requirements
Learners must already have one of the following:- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence; or
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Domestic Installation) or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence; or
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Industrial and Commercial Installation) or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence; or
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Oil-Fired Technical Services or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence; or
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence.

Assessment Details
To gain the qualification, you must pass- Assignments and practical tests devised by the awarding body that are marked internally
- A heat pump design assessment that are marked internally
- On online exam set by the awarding body
