This is a E2 ESOL Course which runs remotely from 10:-12:00pm on a Saturday for learners at E2 to develop their English skills in listening and speaking, reading and writing in a childcare context.

  • Entry Requirements


    You will be assessed on the first session and given advice about the suitability of this course according to your level.

  • Course Content


    You will develop your skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The course will cover key grammar topics, such as verb tenses, sentence structure, prepositions. Lessons are structured around common grammar challenges faced by learners, with a focus on practical usage.

    You will also complete a Pre-Vocational Award which help you to develop the study skills necessary for making progress with your learning.

  • Progression Next Steps


    You can progress on to a Certificate in Childcare and in Understanding Mental Health First Aid in the workplace or be advised about a range of other courses offered by South Thames College.

    The course runs remotely once a week on a Saturday from 10-12pm You will be sent a link to join this course once you enrol.

    Classroom assessment will take place throughout all sessions with tasks and activities and classwork to check your learning.
