Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent
In 2019, a total of 5,738 individuals were referred to the Prevent programme, with the education sector accounting for 33% of this number. Anyone wanting to work in local authorities, schools, colleges, uniformed services or health and social care needs to be aware of safeguarding and the Prevent duty and how to include these principles in their day-to-day work practices. This level 2 course will give you a greater awareness of safeguarding and the Prevent duty, the responsibilities and procedures involved, and how to raise concerns effectively.

Entry Requirements
You need to have lived in the EU for three years and be aged 19+. You will need to be confident with written English in order to meet the required standards. -

You can learn at a time that suits you without the need to attend college.
The course is totally flexible so you can start whenever you wish.
The course will be completed online and takes approx. 8 weeks to complete.
