Domestic Retrofit (Distance Learning)
This retrofit course will introduce you to the key principles of home energy efficiency and the role retrofit plays in reducing energy consumption.
You will learn about the causes and effects of climate change, the energy performance of UK housing, and the challenges of improving older homes. The course also explores the impact of fuel poverty on retrofit efforts and provides a foundation in domestic retrofit practices. In addition, you'll gain insight into energy efficiency, heat loss, retrofit technologies, performance targets, and the risks and quality standards involved in delivering successful retrofit projects. This course does not qualify you to carry out domestic retrofit but you can progress to a level 2 Award in Retrofit course.
This is an untutored online course. You will be guided through the materials and can work at your own pace. Once you have enrolled, you will receive your course access link within 5 working days. Please check your email for this line, which you'll need to get started.
