L3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment
This level 3 City & Guilds Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment has been developed as a professional qualification for learners wishing to become an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
The aims of this qualification is to meet the needs of candidates who work or want to work as a Domestic Energy Assessor in the property sector and to allow candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the property sector.
To achieve this qualification, towards the end of the course, you will need to carry out and write up one domestic energy assessment accompanied by your tutor and 5 assessments independently. Learners will have to source these properties themselves, but can use the properties of family, friends and other contacts.

Course Content
Mandatory units include:- Conduct energy assessments in a safe, effective and professional manner
- Prepare for energy assessments of domestic properties
- Undertake energy inspections
- Produce and explain Energy Performance Certificates relating to domestic properties.

Assessment Details
There is no final exam. You will complete one logbook/portfolio of evidence and 3 assignments for this course.
