Drawing and Painting

The course will utilise a range of mediums from pencil, charcoal, through colouring pencils and acrylic paint to promote an understanding of some of the fundamental aspects of drawing and painting language through still life subjects using the theme of plastic bottles and other similar types of coloured containers and objects. This will be a vehicle for working with perspective, form/negative spaces, tonal values, mark-making and colour.

The aim will always be, to build in weekly contextual support around subjects to support learner choices/decision-making and to progress analysis of production to build confidence. For each session, you can expect one to one support/mentoring to aid your individual development.
