Inspiring ambition. Empowering futures. Supporting schools
At South Thames College Group (STCG), our Schools Partnership Team (SPT) collaborates with schools to help inspire, inform and prepare students for their next steps. We offer a dynamic, evolving programme for students from Year 7 to Year 13, supporting careers leads, teachers, and parents and guardians.
"Students left the assembly understanding the different pathways available to them and most importantly understanding what type of learner they are so that they can ensure they select the right pathway for them" – partner school.
We structure our offer around three stages of a student’s journey through secondary school:
- Engage and Inspire (Y7 – 8)
Early engagement to spark curiosity and inspire. - Investigate and Explore (Y9 – 10)
Deeper insight into pathways, skills and opportunities. - Apply and Progress (Y11 - 12+)
Practical preparation for transitions and future success.
Our comprehensive, flexible programme supports your school’s careers strategy, aligns with the Gatsby Benchmarks and enhances student engagement. We also support schools in meeting statutory requirements, including Provider Access Legislation (the Baker Clause).
"Gave our Year 10s a clear insight into vocational vs academic pathways post 16, and what choices are out there for them to make an informed and personal choice about their future" – partner school.
Our Offer
"[The team]…engaged the students in the topic [of options]. The attending Student Ambassador was also a great way for students to hear about the reality of college. The learners will have gained knowledge about post 16 options as well as thinking about the skills and jobs of the future" – partner school.
Let’s Work Together
The Schools Partnership Team has a wide range of experience including direct classroom teaching, senior leadership and from within the creative industries.

"It is always a pleasure to work with STCG. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Their presentations to both students and parents, as well as attendance at other events, makes a huge difference to our students as they consider options at post-16" – partner school.
