We spoke to Callum Stewart student at Kingston College studying BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Media about his experiences at Kingston College....
Why did you choose Kingston College?
I liked the environment of Kingston, there's always a lot going on it was a lovely place to be especially at Christmas time! The tutors were also very welcoming so I managed to feel comfortable under their leadership and teachings.
Why did you choose to syudy BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Media?
I've always loved acting and been performing since the age of 7. When I've thought about alternative careers, nothing has sprung at me since I enjoy acting so much and there's nothing that tops my enjoyment or love for it.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
Developing new skills, making new, strong friendships and generally feeling like I could be myself both around peers and lecturers
Can you provide an example of a particular achievement you are proud of?
I studied at Kingston College for 7 years before finishing my degree and graduating. I worked through every level course under the sun! If I didn't have a good time at Kingston or felt something wasn't right, would I have been there for that long a period? I trusted the lecturers and they trusted me. I was able to be myself and felt I was being supported every step of the way and built strong working relationships with those lecturers.
Do you have any advice for other potential students looking to enrol?
No matter how tough things get during the course, continue to power on through. Have faith in your tutors, they are always there, friendly, with wide open arms ready to help you and support you and pick you back up. You'll have a fantastic time at Kingston College in a lovely environment, with great facilities, in a wonderful town and an amazing teaching department.
