Our Prince's Trust students have been busy fundraising and have managed to raise over £500!
Their fundraising efforts were in support of the Homeless who are particularly in need this time of year. They spent some of the money on supplies of sleeping bags, hats, gloves and scarves, giving them to the homeless people on the streets of Croydon. They also bought hot food and coffees and distributed these.
Lastly, they have just donated the the remaining funds to Crisis at Christmas!
Karen Hardy, Crisis Supporter Services Manager said: "Thank you so much for supporting Crisis. Your donation will make a huge difference to someone without a home this Christmas and could be the first step out of homelessness for good. As well as working for Crisis, I’ve been volunteering every Christmas for 19 years and I can tell you first-hand what a difference that week makes to people who otherwise would have nowhere to turn. This Christmas you’ve given them warmth, support and hope for a brighter future. Thank you."
