Safeguarding

Our Prince’s Trust students have been busy fundraising to raise money for a design project to support the Riverside Community Centre in Carshalton.

The students organised a sponsored football match, which raised over £140.  In addition, Wicks generously provided the materials for the project. They were tasked with redecorating the entire Café and the soft play area and then painting a mural.

The Riverside Centre aims to support the local community and provides a number of activities and programmes at the Centre.

Dave Lunn, Chief Executive of the Riverside Centre said: “Thank you for undertaking your community project here. It is always a pleasure to have you here and an absolute delight to see the work that has been done. We have had lots of positive feedback regarding the painting and the mural and it has made a big difference to our community space and for the people that use it. We look forward to welcoming you and another team again in the future!”

Michelle Fenlon, Programme Leader said: “This course is a great platform to start planning for your future and many of our graduates go onto employment or a course straight away.”
