Access to Science student, Berengar was out of education for four years, taking an Apprenticeship before entering full time work, however in order to pursue his dreams Berengar returned to education this academic year to study on our Access to HE – Science.
“The course is fascinating with lecturers that are very knowledgeable about their subjects and a perfect choice for any science based undergraduate course.
“Whilst the course is tough, it's rewarding to do well and the lecturers are all very helpful and willing to aid you. There's also a lot of content on the college Moodle that can answer nearly any question.
“The course has given me bucketloads of knowledge about the sciences that will help me in my Palaeontology degree at university, with all sorts of knowledge that I'll need to rely on at uni. Enjoy the course, I know I have!"
University Application Process
Berengar was guided through the UCAS process throughout, including personal statement checks and decision making on offers, by our dedicated Careers Advisors Rita Harrington and Colin Woolford.
Access to HE Diplomas
Our one year Access to Higher Education Diplomas are a great route to university. If you have been out of full time education for some time, do not meet the entry requirements, are considering a career change or want to upskill in your current role, an Access course will give you a step up and the knowledge and qualifications needed to study an Undergraduate course.
As well as developing your subject-specific knowledge and skills, these courses will fully prepare you for higher-level study and give you the confidence and experience to fulfil your academic goals.
