This term South Thames College has partnered with Ingeus to launch a weekly sector-based work academy that provides all learners who complete the programme with a guaranteed interview on the final day.
Ingeus first approached the Employability Team at the College in early 2021, as it had won the contract to deliver employment support services in Central and South West London, as part of the Government’s new Restart Programme.
The programme focuses on supporting learners to prepare for applying to be an Employment Advisor with Ingeus. During the 5 day programme learners develop skills in Information, Advice, or Guidance, and Business Administration, as well as gain support in completion of their application and preparation for the interview process.
Since the programme launched in June 2021, 14 learners have already been successful in gaining employment in one of these Advisor roles.
Scott Lloyd, Partnership & Integration Manager at Ingeus, who worked with the College’s Employability Team to develop the programme commented: “The programme with South Thames College has already been a real success, and the 14 job offers that have come from it is a fantastic start.”
