On Friday 11th November Kingston College was pleased to host the Kickstart Climate Change Event alongside the South London Careers Hub and GLA. As part of learning about “green” careers and jobs for the future, six schools from Kingston and Richmond took part in a carousel of employer encounters in our new multimedia rooms.
The employers ranged from Joltify who brought along an electric BMW for students to explore, Bioregional who are responsible for the eco-friendly BedZed housing development, McGlaughlin and Harvey Building and Civil Engineers in Kingston, and Solar Energy UK.
Students were engaged in the sessions and accompanying teachers felt this was a great opportunity for those interested in sustainability and climate change to learn more.
