We are thrilled to announce one of our Level 3 Catering and Hospitality students has been successful in gaining a place at the Exclusive Hotels group Training Academy.
Jerome Angus presented to the Academy earlier on in the year to mark the launch of the Food & Beverage Service Academy.
Merton College was also successful in gaining its first appointment at the Chefs Academy the previous year.
Through our partnership work with Exclusive Hotels, they launched the Food & Beverage Academy earlier this year and we were one of the first colleges to be approached.
Like the Chefs academy, places are restricted to an average of only 10 per year.
Following a paper application Jerome was invited to a weekend assessment day followed by a further interview based around his technical knowledge and understanding. Much like the Chef’s Academy Jerome will follow a two-year training programme moving around three of the groups luxury hotels starting at Pennyhill Park, Bagshot including two days a week at the group’s training facility.
