Our Level 2 Beauty Therapy students were introduced to the founder of Rhoda Agyei Skincare and owner of Lash’dUp Excellence.
Rhoda Agyei, aged 27 years old is a qualified beauty therapist of over 7 years and the founder of Rhoda Agyei Skincare (a virtual skin consultancy platform) and Lash’dUp Excellence (a mobile semi permanent lash business).
Linda Wesley our Beauty Therapy Team Leader said: " It is so important for our students to hear from inspirational speakers in their chosen field, especially in the current climate. We aim to motivate them and show the various paths that can be taken to achieve their goals."
Rhoda's story: "I landed my first role at a Hotel Spa working as a receptionist and then moving to a beauty therapy role. Within 3 months I was fortunate enough to land my first official role at SK:N Clinics, the UK’s leading dermatology and skincare clinic. I worked here for over 3 years, rapidly progressing to becoming a Senior Aesthetics Pracitioner. My experience there enabled me to work alongside some of the UK’s leading dermatologists performing advance aesthetic procedures such as laser hair removal, tattoo removal and anti acne peels. I moved on to Premier Laser Clinics in 2018, after working my way up in SK:N due to the diversity of treatments Premier offered. All this while I was running a part time eyelash boutique which I started in the summer of 2013.
Currently I run my own part time online skin consultation, which was birthed out of COVID-19 where the world took a more digital approach. I have always taken great pride in my work and make sure I am constantly updating my skills to ensure my knowledge is up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques available. My number one goal is to own multiple advance aesthetic clinics in the near future. I believe everyone deserves the right to brighter, healthy looking skin!"
