This term South Thames College learners studying Construction Multi-Skills have partnered with Volunteer-It-Yourself to help renovate an old community hall, so as to be able to be used by local residents again in Sutton.
During the week’s placement, learners completed a number of tasks, including painting & decorating, carpentry, and furniture installation.
The supervisory team from Volunteer-It-Yourself were hugely impressed with the learner’s work ethic, and standards.
This activity was the third time South Thames College and Volunteer-It-Yourself have partnered to deliver a community project like this, and both parties look forward to further collaboration in 2021.
