Safeguarding

We have recruited some of our students across Carshalton and Merton to become inspirational Maths Ambassadors to support other learners.

This group of students have shown great commitment, motivation and perseverance. They will be representing the Maths department and be involved in our Maths Ambassador Mentoring scheme, where they will help build confidence and resilience in other learners.

Our Maths Ambassadors will help us achieve this by supporting, mentoring and inspiring our learners. Read some of their quotes below about what motivated them to become part of this fantastic scheme.

"During my studies, there have been ups and downs, enduring getting Grade 2 in Maths and finally receiving a Grade 4 and upwards. Maths has been a fun yet challenging subject and success does come with great efforts. Turning up to all lessons with a 100% attendance and focusing on my goal of passing my Maths resist exams was my main motivation. And by following my Maths tutors amazing guidance and advice, I successfully reached that goal.  I can confidently say that I like studying Maths and now fully understand it."

"Over the last few years, my confidence in Maths has greatly increased. I was determined not to give up and aimed for 100% in every test that came my way. Through learning strategies, sticking to a study schedule and great support from my teachers, I was able to succeed in my Maths GCSE exam. Now I can confidently say that I actually understand Maths!"
