During the celebrations, the learners presented the cheque for £240 to Phil, and talked confidently about all of the skills they had developed during the project, including teamwork, communication, and working to a budget.
The total value raised this year is a significant improvement on last year's figure of £100. All of the activities during the project are linked to coursework criteria from the the learner's course.
Marcia Grant-Che (Course Leader for Level 2 Business) said: “Starting and completing a project with my level 2 Business learners has been fantastic. Our learners have been able to use their enterprising skills in class and on work placement, which they can utilise to support the wider community.”
