Safeguarding

Adult learner Sue Mansfield enrolled on to the Embroidery blended learning course at Merton College. Sue says:

"After enrolling on to the course, I found it very helpful to be able to sign into the online element of this course, when I couldn’t attend face to face. This meant I could keep up with the class instead of missing it and making the work up from the notes. It was also really good to see all the other students each week.

For me personally it works very well this way. I prefer to be on-site to learn as many stitches as possible and to develop the project ideas with our tutor, as well as to interact with the other students. However, in previous terms, I have sometimes had to miss at least one class so the backup option to work from home is very welcome.

The picture is part one of my project - a card which I am using as a pattern for a larger scale work on a jumper which I intend to finish over the Christmas holiday."
