Interview Skills Workshop
This one-day workshop will help learners to prepare for an interview and impress a potential employer. Learners will understand the different types of interviews that employers use including online interviews. Learners will be able to prepare for questions that may be asked and also use the STAR approach to answer competency based questions. There is also an opportunity to take part in a mock interview and evaluate performance after an interview. This course is ideal if you want to brush up your interview skills or if you have been invited for interview. It is also an ideal starting point for learners that may not have had an interview in the past, for learners wishing to change careers and those that have been out of work for some time.

At the end of this workshop students will: Know the information required to prepare for an interview Understand the different types of interviews that employers use Prepare answers to questions that may be asked at the interview Understand how to prepare for an online interview Understand the STAR approach to answer competency based questions Identify questions at the end of the interview which show interest in the job role *How to evaluate own performance in an interview -

Course Structure
The workshops are all delivered in groups ( approx 8-10 learners). Workshops run each term and last for 2 hours. They can be delivered in college or remotely. Learners are encouraged to participate in class activities and work in groups. Learners are given resources to take away after the workshops and are also invited to book a follow up one to one careers appointment if they wish. -
