T Level - Education and Early Years

T Levels require a minimum of 5x GCSEs at C/4 or above including a grade 5 in Mathematics and a grade 6 in English Language. Applicants must provide a reference from work and/or industry experience with children from 0-5 years of age. Experience and reference will be discussed at interview.

Progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training or university level study in the Education and Childcare sector.

Undertaking a substantial, mandatory work placement is a key driver of success of the new T Level programme. All students will complete a minimum of 315 hours (around 45 days) to help confirm their career pathway, contextualise new skills and knowledge, and develop attitudes and behaviours needed in the sector specific workplace. Many students have even met their future employers whilst on placement.

Each T Level route contains the following components: A Technical Qualification (the main, classroom-based element) An Industry Placement running for a minimum of 315 hours (45 days) Any licence to practice for that specific occupation Enrichment and tutorial time.
