British Sign Language (BSL) is the legally recognised language for the deaf and hearing-impaired community in Britain. Our non-accredited 10-week course will give you a foundational understanding of basic terminology and structures in BSL.

"On successful completion of the course, you will be able to:- Understand and use a limited range of simple words and sentences in BSL
- Take part in simple, everyday conversations in BSL
- Give and follow simple directions or instructions in BSL
- Give and follow simple familiar statements or descriptions in BSL
- Recognise and apply the basic linguistic features of BSL and the implications of being Deaf in a hearing world;
- Reflect on your progress and pursue further study."
