Guitar Playing Foundations
This course is aimed at beginner/improvers and will provide you with a solid grounding in the core techniques of the guitar.
Learn and improve the basics of playing guitar on this course, including basic chords, techniques and scales, and play songs of your choice. You will practise notation and tunes individually with one to one input from your tutor. Songs will be on the pop, rock, folk and blues .
Please note that you need to bring your own guitar. If you are on low income this course has concessions (50% off).

No formal qualifications are required. -

On this course you will learn:*Notation; guitar tablature & chord diagrams
*Strumming Patterns (4/4 3/4, 6/8, shuffle)
*Open Chord, barre chords & Chords Extensions
*Linear & alternate fingerpicking patterns
*Songs which include core techniques

MaterialsPlease bring your own guitar, tuner, capo, plectrums, pen & paper. If using an electric guitar please bring battery powered amp & lead, We are sorry but for safety reasons mains operated amps cannot be used.

There is group and one to one tuition. Constructive advice and problem solving of students' own work will also be given.
