Bake Well for Less
This course is for beginners who want to learn how to bake inexpensively and not just cakes but delicious breads, biscuits and pastries.
In a sociable environment we will prepare and measure ingredients and bake a range of desserts.
Students will master basic skills in the kitchen and learn about budgeting, food safety and hygiene, nutrition and sustainable living.
We will also talk about active living, recycling and re-using in the kitchen.

You should have a good level of spoken and written English -
Course Content
Each course has five different topics:- Small treats
- Pastries
- 3-layered cakes
- Breads
- Loaf bakes
Students will:
- Learn and practice baking skills in the informal and interactive setting of our Merton Campus kitchen
- Learn how to make and stick to budgets in the kitchen
- Master principles of kitchen safety and hygiene
- Understand and apply sustainability and zero waste principles in the kitchen
- Make new friends with the same passion for baking
