L2 Travel with Cabin Crew

The travel and aviation industries offer exciting global career opportunities, from cabin crew and airport operations to travel consultancy and customer service roles.

This Level 2 Travel with Cabin Crew course is designed for students who are passionate about aviation, travel and working with people. You will develop a strong understanding of how the travel and tourism industry operates, with a particular focus on the role of cabin crew and the airline passenger experience.

Throughout the course, you will build essential employability skills including teamwork, communication, problem-solving and professional presentation. You will also gain insight into airline procedures, customer service excellence, health and safety, and working in fast-paced travel environments.

This programme provides an excellent foundation for progression to Level 3 Travel & Tourism or Aviation pathways.

  • Entry Requirements


    • 4 x GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including grade 4/C in English OR Mathematics, or a Level 1 qualification, with a merit grade, in a relevant subject.
    • We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
    • You will provide a copy of your last school report and/or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other to include attendance. This is to ensure we can support to be able to achieve well on the course. Applicants with 85% or below attendance will have been deemed not to have met this criteria. All applicants are given an opportunity to discuss any evidence based mitigating circumstances that may have affected the reference/school report.
    • You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

      • Working as Cabin Crew

      • Aircraft emergency situations
      • Dealing with passengers on-board an aircraft
      • Cabin service
      • Making passenger announcements
    • This course is suitable for students who would like to gain employment in the travel industry or enhance their studies in travel and tourism. It provides an additional qualification for students wishing to work as cabin crew.

    Trips: Students benefit from a programme of curriculum-linked visits throughout your course. These include local trips, and overseas opportunities to destinations including Paris.

    All visits are directly linked to assessed units and support students in developing transferable skills, exploring tourism and urban environments, and gaining first-hand insight into different cultures and global destinations.

  • Course Structure


    • The majority of your work is coursework based with one exam unit (UK Travel and Tourism sector). Where you will be assessed through a variety of assessments (E.g. written reports, presentations, role plays and other assessment types.)
    • You will have the opportunity to work in our mock-up cabin crew room and have a variety of speakers to talk about the travel industry.
    • You will also complete a one-week work experience placement in the tourism or aviation industries.
