Introduction into Social Care- Working with Children

This 15-week course that will give you an introduction into social care and working with children to enable you to understand the social care contexts and key principles of working with children in a variety of contexts. It will support an application onto graduate diploma programmes into social work or careers working with children.

    There are no entry requirements, however, to gain the most from the course full attendance and engagement in in person and online learning will enable you to succeed.

  • Course Content


    Working with a specialist in Early Years and Education and a former University Lecturer you will be introduced to social care, social settings with a possibility of visiting settings and an understanding of working with children. The course will also cover what happens in these settings and the roles different users play. For example – working in residential homes or childcare settings. Suitable for school leavers, adults and professionals who wish to extend their knowledge and understanding further to support graduate applications.
