Full Time EFL - English as a Foreign Language - 15 Hours a week (18 years plus, flexible start dates)
This very popular English course is for people who want to make rapid progress with their English studies while having some time free for other activities. Students are taught by our team of dedicated teachers in the dynamic environment of Kingston College. Students focus on developing accuracy and fluency in English. On leaving us, they progress with confidence to other courses or to employment. We welcome students aged 18 years and above. Entry Requirements
Students must be 18 years old or over. All students must take an initial assessment test before starting the English Language Course to ensure they are placed in the correct level class. Dates for enrolment and testing are arranged with the student at the beginning of their programme. Students must be prepared to pay the fees at enrolment unless they have already paid in advance.Use the grid below to estimate your fees as a guide: courses cost £240 per week. Fees may be reduced if the student studies over a longer period. All tuition fees quoted may be subject to change.
4 weeks - 60 hours of study at £16 per hour - £960
8 weeks - 120 hours of study at £15 per hour - £1800
12 weeks* at £14 per hour - £2520
24 weeks at £13 per hour - £4680
35 weeks at £12 per hour - £6300
*12 weeks are the minimum recommended length of course for students requiring a Short Term Student Visa to study in the UK.
Full time courses are offered with flexible starting dates, so the student can choose the start date and course duration that suits them, although we do not start students towards the end of the term study period. The student will be given their individual timetable at enrolment. Once the student has had their initial assessment they will be given a timetable. Lessons are Monday to Friday 9.30 am-12.45 pm.
Students can join a weekly Conversation Club (free of charge) on Mondays 16.00-16.30 and Thursdays 13.00-13.30. For more information, please contact the School Office or your teacher.
Students will have the opportunity to study additional hours in the evening, by joining General English classes (Subject to extra fee payment).

Course objectives: Our General English courses will prepare you to communicate with confidence in real life situations - whether for work, study, travel or simply to talk to friends and family. Our enthusiastic and friendly teachers will use a variety of teaching methods, latest course books and materials, such as newspapers and the internet which will give you the skills and confidence to thrive. We have a student-centred approach where you are at the heart of what we do. Lessons are fun and challenging so you will make progress quickly and enjoy your time in the classroom! -
Progression Next Steps
Students can hope to improve by 0.5 on the IELTS scale for every term of full time study with us.Students completing our English Language programmes may progress onto different courses at Kingston College or university courses. Most students work towards improving their scores for a SELT (Secure English Language Test e.g. IELTS - International English Language Test). Students can continue on to another year of Full Time English as a Foreign Language course if required.
We provide a Kingston College certificate stating the level that the student has been assessed at (this is not an internationally recognised English Language Certificate); there are no final examinations for this course.

Additional Information
We have been a British Council accredited College for our English Language courses since 2003.Our fantastic leisure programme specially tailored to our EFL students includes reasonably priced trips. In the past these have included day trips to Hampton Court, the Houses of Parliament, Stonehenge and Hever Castle (A small fee may be charged - between £10 and £25). Residential trips are also available to places of interest in the UK, including the Isle of Wight and the Peak District (costs depending on length of stay).
Host family accommodation prices are from £155 per week. These accommodation providers do not work for Kingston College and are for private residential accommodation.

Course fees have been built taking into account the 'non-teaching days' which are the College Staff Improvement Days and national Bank Holidays (see dates above). Therefore, we do not offer refunds or 'make up' classes for FTE and EFL classes which fall on CPD days and bank holidays. See "Entry Requirements" for course fees.

Assessment Details
All Fees must be paid in advance before starting the course or at enrolment. Students wishing to pay in advance must have applied through this website and use their Student Identification Number when making payment. All quotes are based on number of weeks studied as terms vary from 11 to 13 weeks. All quotes are tailored for individual student requirements for those starting and leaving mid-term.The tuition fee, once paid, is non-refundable and non-transferable. This means that if you decide to leave your course for whatever reason, you will not receive a refund. The exception to this is if the College cancels or curtails your course in which case a full or partial fee refund will be made. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Please visit the school office to discuss.
Students requiring a Short Term Study Visa may have their visa refused for the Full Time English course if their course duration is less than one term (three months).
- Students requiring a Short Term Study Visa must apply for their visa from their home country.
Students who arrive on a Visitor/Tourist visa are only able to study for a total of 30 days (one month). Students using a tourist visa will not be given confirmation of study letters to enter the UK and must apply for at least three months study (one term) under a Short Term Study Visa.
Please note Kingston College only supports students for Full Time English courses under Short Term Student Visas, not Student Route (formally known as Tier 4). Students requiring a visa will need to apply for a Short Term Study Visa.
