Textiles Surface Design

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to a range of creative textile techniques on both natural and synthetic fabrics. Designed for beginners as well as those with some experience, the course encourages experimentation with colour, pattern, and texture to create unique fabric designs.

  • Course Content


    Students will learn how different materials respond to various techniques, gain practical skills in surface design, and develop their own artistic style in a supportive and engaging environment.

    • mark making
    • marbling
    • stamping
    • stencilling

    All materials will be provided, and by the end of the workshop, each participant will have a collection of personalised textile samples to take home.

    All materials and equipment are provided. Should you become more ambitious in the scale of your work we may ask for a contribution towards materials used.
