Printmaking: Drypoint

Working in our specialist print studio, this 5-week course will give you a fantastic introduction to the art of drypoint etching.

    There are no entry requirements for this course.

  • Course Content


    Over the 5-week course there will be opportunities to explore a range of dry point techniques, with the aim of producing resolved dry point prints. Techniques covered will include tonal and line effects such as surface tone, cross-hatching, the burr and roughening. You will have an opportunity to develop your own appropriate images whether representational or abstract.

    You could progress onto our Printmaking - Studio Session, where learners can work on their own projects in our specialist facilities.

    Materials and equipment will be provided. Should you become more ambitious in the scale of your work we may ask for a contribution towards materials used.
