What is Trailblazer?
Trailblazer is a free support programme for young people aged 16–24 who want help moving into:
- Work
- An Apprenticeship
- Training or Education
- Self-Employment
You don’t need experience, qualifications or a clear plan. There are no exams, no long forms and no pressure. The support is focused on you, your goals and your next step.


What Participants Will Receive
Young people who take part in Trailblaze Your Future receive free, personalised support designed around their goals and circumstances.
Participants will benefit from:
- 1 to 1 support from a named adviser
- Help creating or improving a CV
- Support applying for real jobs, apprenticeships, or courses
- Interview preparation and confidence building support
- Access to employers, work experience, trial shifts, or placements (where available)
- Support to build confidence, motivation, and wellbeing
- Clear, simple next step planning tailored to the individual
There are no exams, no pressure, and no requirement to have previous experience or qualifications — support is focused on helping young people move forward at their own pace.
Incentives may be available, subject to eligibility and engagement.

Trailblaze Your Future, delivered by South Thames Colleges Group, supports young people aged 16–24 across South London to build skills, confidence, and move into employment, apprenticeships, or training.
By working with us, employers can access motivated, job‑ready young people while making a meaningful contribution to the local community.
There is no cost to employers.

Job‑Ready Young People
Our participants receive tailored 1‑to‑1 employability support, helping them build confidence, strengthen CVs, and prepare for the world of work before being introduced to employers.
Flexible Recruitment Options
You can engage in ways that suit your business, including:
- Promoting live vacancies
- Taking part in employer or sector events
- Hosting interviews or informal employer chats
- Offering trial shifts, work experience, or placements (where appropriate)

We work closely with both employers and participants to help match young people to suitable opportunities across a range of sectors, including:
