Our exciting Creative Industries Centre offers purposeful art studios, workshops, digital suites, TV and photography studios, music studios, rehearsal rooms and classrooms to enhance and support your learning experience. The on-site Penny School Gallery offers a space for exhibitions and performances enabling student work to be showcased throughout the year.

In a series of videos following an exhibition, BTEC Photography students explain the concept of their project, what inspired them, the techniques they used, including acrylic transfers, screen printing and liquid emulsion, how to effectively display their work, and what they've learned on the course so far. Alyssa achieved Triple Distinction*, the equivalent of 3 A* at A Level, and accepted a place to study BA (Hons) Photography at the University of South Wales.
“I chose Kingston College because it offered many different pathways for future careers and opportunities and had a welcoming atmosphere. I chose BTEC because it offered me a path towards the career I want to pursue and I find it a less stressful environment compared to courses that require exams and tests.”
Jude gained a brilliant D*D*D*, equivalent to 3 A* grades at A Level. Jude has accepted a place to study BA (Hons) Film and Television at University of the Arts London which is ranked 2nd in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 for art and design.
“I joined this course with little to no experience with drawing or design but had an interest in both. The course provided me with opportunities to learn different techniques and methods that helped me understand the key principles of 3D design. I am optimistic for the future because I know the skills I have learned in this course will heavily aid me in university and give me the skills necessary within the field of architecture.”
Luca gained Triple Distinction* on his course, equivalent to 3 A* at A Level. He is now studying Architecture at Loughborough University.
“I knew that photography was something that I wanted to continue in the future and seeing the welcoming facilities that Kingston College provided, I thought that choosing to study here would extend my knowledge and further develop my skills. All of which, including the huge encouragement from my tutor, has helped me progress into future studies, taking on a BA (Hons) in photography at my chosen University.”
Mea gained a fantastic Triple Distinction*, equivalent to 3 A* at A Level and received offers from all 5 universities she applied to, accepting a place at Arts University Bournemouth to study BA (Hons) Photography.
“I have loved every second of this course, and I will never forget what these past three years have meant for me. Throughout my studies I have been given new opportunities to produce work, for example exploring new printmaking techniques made me further develop my printmaking skills and become confident with handling equipment and materials. This was all made possible by the incredible staff who helped push my ideas further and helped me develop the skills needed to approach my final major project.”
William gained Triple Distinction* on his course, the equivalent to 3 A* at A Level. He is now studying BA (Hons) Illustration at Kingston University
“At first, I lacked the grades so I took the Level 2 Art and Design course; then continued on to the Level 3 BTEC in Photography where I met the lovely and kind staff who helped me improve my photography. Not only were the tutors great, but they had brilliant work experience connections and I worked at the international Fuse Festival photographing the event.”
Zachary gained Triple Distinction* on his course, the equivalent to 3 A* at A Level.
